Its been a while since I posted anything on here! Today I finally have the progress on how I made the chemise that goes with the bloomers. A side note, I lost a couple of photos from the progress so I can't show you everything sadly. I however still hope you will enjoy looking through this blog post.

Here is the final post on the heavily Inspired 1903 Wedding ensemble. I took a couple of the details I saw in this chemise and placed them into the chemise design I made for myself.

Like the ribbon lacing that sits underneath the bosom of the chemise, aswell as the details of the full ribbon of lace on top of the chemise.

We'll start with the top of this undergarment, I drafted the pattern for the top and back from the chemise, the back was one long piece with nothing special there, the front however I made the same as the wedding ensemble, with the lace through ribbon underneath the bosom.

The pattern I drafted for the top was a basic top, then instead of a straight edge, I drew a triangle on both sides. It goes from the armpit to the bottom where the bottom is the widest so you can gather it so it makes the poof effect. Once its all gathered you sew the lace against it that would be the same as your width of your waist measurements.

The bottom of this chemise was a big rectangle which was thirty cm bigger than the waistline and then gathered and sewn to the bottom of the lace that was already attached to the top. Once you have the bottom sewn down you feed the pink ribbon through it and you can make the bow as big as you want or as delicate.Ā

Now its time for all the lace and frills that you want! I had four different ones but if you want even more then four, you can!! The more the better!

For the sides, I had one of the laces sewn together to make a bigger strip for the sides on the chemise. Once you have a chemise that is as big as you want it, you sew it some what with a french seam, but once you have sewn over it you don't conceal the edges but sew over the lace so the edging is encased behind the lace.Ā

And because you can never have enough lace I had decided to sew first a strip of lace around the neckline front to back, making some little pleats at the front before I decided to attach the ribbon lace over it! Which was a pain to sew on, but worth it in the end. Once that is all done, feed the pink ribbon through and tie it into a nice bow. And now you're done and you can wear them with your matching bloomers!
